One of my favorite anecdotes in the Bible, when Jesus, feeling disgust at the fact that commerce had made its’ way into the house of god, flipped the tables and kicked the money chargers out.
Christians nowadays seem to forget that they are farther from Jesus with their monopolistic capitalism and rich-lovin’ tendencies. Truth is, Jesus always emphasized that the hardest thing to do was to be rich and to enter Heaven.
And people still don’t get that Jesus wouldn’t approve of all the violence, selfishness and pride that permeates our world.
